Riverview Cemetery District was formed in 1909. It is a special district of Imperial County in Brawley, California.
It is 210 miles southeast of Los Angeles, 126 miles east of San Diego, 230 miles west of Phoenix, 260 miles south of Las Vegas, and 30 miles north of Mexicali, Mexico.
Riverview Cemetery District is governed by a cemetery board of three appointed by the county supervisor of District 4.
The board of trustees’ responsibility is to establish policies for the operation of the district. The board of trustees shall provide for the faithful implementation of those policies which is the responsibility of the employees of the district.
Unlike other businesses, cemeteries are expected to provide services and maintain records for hundreds of years.
